2 ROSSO FIORENTINO FIESOLE
The Reference series represents the quintessential expression of RF’s design where the concept of elegance, in technology and look, is seen as the key to performance.
Fiesole, one of RF’s cornerstones on the way to reproducing reality, is a reference stand-mount system that employs state-of-the-art components installed in an originally styled cabinet, specially designed for top acoustic performance.
The 6.5-in Nomex woofer is held in place by means of a vibration-damping system. This feature allows an efficient control of structure-borne vibration, resulting in authoritative, sharp and controlled low frequencies.
Fiesole comes standard with a ribbon ultrasonic generator which perfectly complements the smooth and detailed 28mm hand-treated silk dome tweeter, starting to function at around 22 kHz and going all the way up to 100kHz. The resulting wide-bandwith performance great enhances the “atmosphere” and naturalness of the reproduced sound, giving it a truly three-dimensional quality.
These transducers are made to combine through the use of a complex and refined crossover circuit made of meticulously selected components.
Special attention also went into the structure of the enclosure. Fiesole was the first RF speaker to implement the concept of using mechanically different materials to render the cabinet incredibly still and inert. Aluminum, high density fibreboard (HDF), viscoelastic elastomers, steel, all combined together to create a solid basis for great dynamics and vivid sound.

The Pienza is a refined, compact loudspeaker; the first Rosso Fiorentino audiophile mini-monitor.
It features a highly sophisticated enclosure, one of the most advanced cabinet ever built by Rosso Fiorentino.
The basic structure of the cabinet is made of composite high density fiberboard with hollowed out compartments filled with tiny chips of marble set in the sides. Friction losses among the chips give rise to a particularly high degree of vibrational damping. Layers of viscoelastic elastomers are strategically placed inside the cabinet to further control vibration while steel tension tie-rods firmly connect the aluminium front panel to the back of the speaker for increased rigidity. Two colored safety glass side panels complete the system adding not only a beautiful and unique finishing touch but significantly increased stability.
This blend of mechanically different materials helps to render the cabinet incredibly still and firm allowing the wonderfully accurate and detailed drivers to operate with utmost clarity and dynamics.
To complement the Pienza we have created an optional matching stand. Within the curve-shaped columns is a rigid, light, well damped structure whose original look perfectly matches the Pienza.
The Pienzas, especially in medium to smaller sized rooms, give a surprisingly full sound, conveying a sense of ‘weight’, open soundstage and dynamic contrasts that are almost unheard of in any speaker of this size.
